our Services

Greyhound Spa - Full Groom

Full groom

This is the full works, inclusive of everything, from a lovely warm bath to the finished hairstyle. We use clippers or scissors to obtain the style that best suits your dog. Each bread of dog and style the have will determine how often they should see the groomer.

Greyhound Spa - Wash & Dry

BATH & Blow-Dry

We offer this service to clients who don’t necessarily want a hair cut, but would like a bath and full brush-out to help keep their dog’s skin and coat clean and healthy by preventing matting. We also offer a feet, eye and hygiene as required in these packages.

Greyhound Spa - Nail Trimming

Nail Trimming

Dog nail trimming is an important part of grooming that helps keep your dog comfortable and prevents injuries. Regular nail trims, ideally every 4 weeks, are recommended to prevent overgrowth and potential health issues. While you can learn to trim nails at home, it’s crucial to understand the process to avoid hurting your dog.

Greyhound Spa - Deshedding & Dematting

Deshedding & Dematting

These grooms are recommended for all those dogs with holding, smooth-haired coats. We use a de-shedding shampoo which will open the pores and loosen the hair follicles. We blast the undercoat with high velocity dryers. These not only massage the skin, but blow out the unwanted moulting hair. We groom and re-shed your dog which will dramatically reduce the amount of shedding on your carpets.

Hand-stripping

Hand-stripping is when the coat is stripped by hand rather than the use of clippers to obtain a style.

This is where dead hair is taken out and the new undercoat is left. Hand-stripping helps keep the colour and texture of the dog’s coat and use some breads where clipping may change this.

To successfully hand strip your dog, the coat must be ready with the dead hair coming out to avoid discomfort.

Greyhound Spa - Puppy Intros

Puppy Intros

When introducing a new puppy to other dogs, it’s best to start with a controlled, neutral environment. We keep the initial interactions brief, allowing the dogs to sniff each other calmly before separating them. Gradually increase the duration of these interactions as they become more comfortable. We supervise all interactions closely, especially in the beginning, to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.
